The Langtang valley trek is one of the most accessible treks that runs from Kathmandu in Nepal. Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Our representatives will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and arrange the transfers to your stay in Kathmandu.

  • Hotel staff will complete the check-in process.

  • Later in the day, savor a scrumptious dinner at the Hotel.

Kathmandu to Dhunche (1960m)

  • On this day, a scenic drive will be undertaken towards Syabru Besi from Kathmandu by bus.

  • The whole route is dotted with majestic views of the Himalayas.

  • The stay will be arranged at Syabru Besi so you will have enough time to explore the surrounding areas in the evening.

Trek to Lama Hotel

  • On this day, the actual trek will start towards Lama hotel.

  • The trail might be 6 hours long, but the whole route is very scenic.

  • You can witness some wild animals along the trail.

Trek to Langtang Valley

  • This is the day when we will enter Langtang valley.

  • The surreal views along the trail are very rewarding.

  • The Langtang valley is believed to be the third most popular trekking area in Nepal and is dotted with different varieties of flora and fauna.

Trek to Kyanging Gompa

  • The morning will commence with a trek towards Kyanging Gompa.

  • This short trek is about 3 hours with the views of snow-covered peaks.

  • You can explore the yak cheese factory in the afternoon.

Acclimatisation

  • You are entitled to just rest on this day.

  • You’re free to explore the surrounding area which could also include a short trek to Kyanging Ri at 4773m.

  • If there’s nothing left to do, you can visit a Yak cheese factory to know more about the methodology.

Retrieve Back to Lama hotel

  • On this day you will return back to the Lama hotel from Kyanging Gompa.

  • Get ready to be bowled over by the views while trekking back to the hotel.

  • Overnight stay is arranged at Lama hotel and you’re free to explore the surroundings after reaching there.

Retrieve Back to Syabrubesi

  • On this day, we will commence our descent towards Syabrubesi from the Lama hotel.

  • The trail might be the same but the excitement of returning back will be more.

  • Settle down in Syabrubesi for the night.

Drive back to Kathmandu

  • On this day, we start our drive towards Kathmandu from Syabrubesi.

  • In the latter half of the day, you will be back to your hotel in Kathmandu where you can either spend some chilled time with your new friends or go for a shopping spree in the local market.

Departure day

  • This is the day when this adventurous trip to Nepal will come to an end.

  • Bid goodbyes to your new friends as our representatives will drive you back to the Airport.

What To pack For Your Langtang Trek?

Essentials:

  • Trekking shoes: Sports shoes and sneakers are best avoided because they tend to get slippery on surfaces with low traction. Get a good pair of trekking shoes with ample grip and protection.

  • Backpack: A backpack with a capacity of 40-60 litres should suffice. It should have a supporting frame, sturdy straps and a rain cover as well.

Others:

  • Clothes: Three warm layers, three trek pants and three collared t-shirts are a must for this trek, apart from the thermals obviously.

  • Sunglasses: To save your eyes from the glare of the sun and snow.
