Drive from Haridwar – Auli (2450 m, Drive of 280 km, 8-9 hour)
Start your tour by meeting at the Haridwar railway station at 7:00 AM and from here drive to Auli. This drive will surpass through the holy townships of Devprayag and Rudraprayag as you follow the rivers of Ganga and Alaknanda. Arrive at Auli and unwind at a lodge arranged for you where you can spend the night.
Trek from Auli – Khulara (3225m, 6 hour trek)
Start your day by relishing a delectable breakfast and after a short drive of 5kms, reach the point where the trek starts from where you can begin hiking to Khulara. Cut through Auli meadows that make an ideal skiing location. On the way, capture sights of Nanda Devi peak and other majestic mountains. From the meadows, continue trekking through verdant forests thriving with a variety of bird species and reach the beautiful prairies of Gurson. Climb down to arrive at another expanse of thickets with Oak, Chestnut, Deodar and Maple trees. Post this you will arrive at the campsite of Tali but continue onwards for a couple of more hours. Hike all the way to Dhak through dense thickets and charming villages. One needs proper trekking shoes during the trek and should strictly avoid sports shoes or sneakers. Since you have to walk in dense forests along with steep ascent and descent, it is advisable to have all-terrain water proof shoes. These are easily available. It is also advisable to walk in these shoes and get your feet used to it before the trek. Here are some brand recommendations – Forclaz, Columbia. Carrying medicines is important while trekking anywhere in the world. We will be carrying a first aid kit, but it is advisable to carry your own set of medicines after consulting the doctor. During the trekking, access to pharmacies is not easy. So, it’s better to carry first-aid kit. You can pack Crocin 5-6 tablets, Band-aid pack of 10, Cotton roll, Soframycin, Moov/Relispray, ORS/Electral 8-10 packets, Avomine [Motion Sickness]. It is advisable to consult a doctor for medicines before packing. Your first-aid should have anti-diarrhoea medicine such as O2, Roko, Lopamide but make sure that you don't take it unless getting to a toilet isn't an option.

Days are going to be sunny and warm 12-20 degrees, while the night temperature at the highest campsite drops to -2 to 5 degrees. Wind-chill factor is something that one needs to account and be prepared for most Himalayan treks.
