This lake lies to the east of the famous Rohtang Pass and is an ideal weekend hiking option.
On your very first day, you will trek through the dense and virgin forest once you reach Rumsu. You will see the “Gowrishankar temple and the Naggar castle as well. On your second day, you will drive to Gulaba and trek to Rohlikohli. You will be trekking for around 5/6 hours and ascend till Rohlikohli. On your third day, you will start trekking to Bhrigu Lake which is the most exciting part of your trek.
The initial walk is through rice fields of Pandu Ropa with grand views of snow clad mountains. Enjoy the amazing sights of the region during this trek. You will also get a chance to catch the glimpse of Seven Sister Peaks or Deo Tibba and Hanuman Tibba. The shimmering waters and the crimson sunrays creating fabulous hues are simply spectacular. Reach the Rumsu base camp and complete your registration process.
Enjoy a walk to Naggar town, and then trek back to Rumsu base camp.
The trek route from Naggar to Rumsu resort is very informative and interesting.
The trek covers many famous places like “Gowrishankar temple” 11th century old shiva temple, Tripura sundari temple, Naggar castle and Roerich art gallery.
Naggar's glory is reflected in many famous temples in the vicinity of Castle Fort. This old castle is a marvelous medieval building.
A further walk lead us to Tripura Sundari temple which is a beautiful example of Pahadi style Temples .
Later on one could also see Roerich Art Gallery on their way.
In the evening enjoy an orientation regarding the trek by the chief organizer which will be mainly about the ruck sack packing, marching/walking technique and general awareness about the trek route. Overnight stay at Rumsu.
Drive to Gulaba and trek to Rohlikohli.
Start the trek with a jeep ride from Rumsu for Gulaba. The jeep ride normally takes 3 hours.
Begin your trek for Rohlikohli camp site and ascend till Rohlikohli which will take around 5-6 hours.
There are two streams on the way to the camp site (Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah).
Rohli Kohli is a beautiful camp site and offers amazing views of Solang Valley.

Trek to Bhrigu Lake

The best time to visit Bhrigu Lake trek is during its best climate. Starting from Mid May, till the month of October is the best time to trek to Bhrigu Lake. However the ideal time is before the month of June and after August when it is monsoon it there is chance of landslides occurring in the area.
What level of fitness is expected from me?
This trek is easy compared to the other treks in the area. But keeping your body fit for this trek is better and will help you enjoy it better. For this trip you need to be aerobically fit and also comfortable with walking up to 7 hours on some days. Performing breathing g exercises regularly will help regulate it when in higher altitude.
What all things I should carry for the trek?

What will be the facility of food and water during the Bhrigu Lake trek?

Mobile connectivity will be very poor during any trek. Indian mobile networks do not work for most part of this trek. Bsnl and Vodafone are the only mobile networks that work inconsistently in this trek that too only in base camps. As you go on higher altitudes you will not be able to get any range.
What will be the temperature on Bhrigu Lake trek?
The temperature on the trek depends on the climate of the region. Trek April to May temperature ranges between 6 - 12°C and is quite mild and pleasant with flowers like rhododendrons, orchid, primula in full bloom. In May occasional showers occur and the sky remaining cloudy most of the time. The second season is between October to November when the temperature ranges between 1 - 6°C during which it is very comfortable for the trek and if your luck you get to see snowfall.
